Our Services

At W.G Bishop Nursing Home Nursing Home, we offer a variety of services to meet the needs of our residents.

Medical 

There are two physicians who regularly serve the residents of W. G. Bishop Nursing Home.

Care

Our 24-hour care staff includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Resident Attendants. 

Pharmacy 

In accordance with the Nursing Home Act, all medications must be obtained from our contracted pharmacy, Lawtons Drug.  

Rehabilitation 

A trained Rehabilitation Licensed Practical Nurse assesses residents and performs hands-on therapy.

Dietary

Our dietary staff offers nutritional meals snacks and occasionally provides treats for our residents.  Weekly,  a Dietitian assesses our residents needs and plans the meals using Canada's Food Guide.

Activity

Our Activity Director plans both therapeutic and recreational group activities for the residents.  Activities include weekly church service, crafts, bingo, bowling, musical entertainment, monthly birthday parties, community outings, etc.

Laundry

All resident clothing is labeled to ensure it is returned to the correct resident.

Housekeeping 

Cleaning services are provided daily in resident rooms and common areas.

Maintenance

Maintenance staff provides ground care, ensures equipment is functioning properly, and the building is structurally sound.   

Hair Care

A stylist is available one day a week (additional fee).  

Transportation

Available for resident use for various outings/appointments i.e. medical appointments, etc. We have a wheelchair accessible bus, that is driven by a volunteer driver. 

Technology

Our home offers cable television (additional fee) and  wi-fi in each room.
